Samsung May Cancel The Galaxy S26

Something big could happen to the flagship Galaxy S line, but not next year. The Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra are all coming in January, as usual. But in 2026, the Korean company could make a big change to its lineup by releasing the Galaxy S26.

Samsung has already done something similar with its flagship tablet line. This year, only the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra were launched, with no ‘vanilla’ model. And now a new rumor claims that the same could happen to the Galaxy S26 series in 2026.

So, only Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra will arrive (probably in January 2026). The move will supposedly happen because the base model will no longer be competitive in the market.

Chinese brands are gearing up for an onslaught of smaller devices with top-notch specs for the next few months, and while the Galaxy S25 may barely survive, it could be game over for the S26. That is, of course, if this pans out. The source of this rumor, Ice Universe, has a decent track record but is known to sometimes exaggerate, and this could be one of those times, so keep that in mind.
